“Veneno” is the Spanish word for “venom” describing Veneno’s infectious music.
Son Veneno is Sydney’s home grown 12 piece Afro Cuban fusion band with a sound
and musicianship like no other. A band with so much musical and brotherhood
history.
Son Veneno’s musical diversity begun by composing, recording and performing with
many international artists including: Ozomatli (LA), Kelis (NYC), Maceo Parker (NC),
Aloe Blacc (US), Cubanismo (CUBA), Los De Abajo (MEX), Metallica (LA), Reve Y Su
Charangon, Fulanito (DOM) and vocalists Rebecca Tapia (AUS), Maya Jupiter (AUS),
Holly Ottignon (UK), Gonzalo Porta (URU) and Merenia Gillies (MAORI).

When Veneno and famed singer C Major join forces, the energy and ambience is incredibly
contagious! A world class combination! Together they have toured the world and
continue to conquer every stage they perform on

The addition of singer-songwriter/entertainer/producer Carlos Velazquez AKA C
Major lifted the band to new heights with his versatile mix of R&B, Pop, Soul, & his
domination of the Afro-Latin Sonero traditions. C Major – As seen on The Voice 2014
was mentored by Latino Superstar Ricky Martin and Will.i.am. On The Voice, he
performed with finesse, captivating audiences and representing Latinos all over
Australia. Through his journey thus far, C Major has worked with the likes of many
international artists such as: T-Pain, B.O.B, Royce Da 5’9, Wanye Morris (Boys 2
Men), Mars (1500), Fat Man Scoop, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Mr. Porter (Eminem’s
Producer), Marvin Priest – and Australian artists Stan Walker, Timomatic, Justce
Crew, Young Men Society, and the list goes on..
